Our office strives to offer a supportive and inclusive environment for all patients. We do the best we can to meet patients needs and expectations, also while balancing the limitations of our Canadian healthcare system.

Office Hours
Our office is open Monday-Thursday from 9am - 4pm. Please note we are closed for lunch from 12:00pm-1:30pm.
We are closed Friday -Sunday & holidays.

Not Accepting Patients
Dr. Heitzner has a full roster of patients, and is not actively accepting new patients at this time.
We do not offer a waiting list.
Anyone looking for a family physician would be encouraged to register with Healthcare Connect.
No Show Policy
Our office will enforce a no show policy, for those that do not attend their scheduled appointment without notice.
After a first missed appointment, the office will send you a letter and you are welcome to reschedule the appointment.
After a second missed appointment, a letter will be sent and an invoice of $30 will be charged and is expected to be paid before future appointments will be booked.
Again, we understand life happens and things come up. If you need to cancel an appointment last minute, please call the office 705-798-0712.
Health Card Required
Just as one is required to have a valid driver's license when driving; it is mandatory to bring your valid health card and present it when you check in for every appointment.
Failure to bring a valid health card will result in being charged for your visit of $60 (which will be reimbursed if you present a valid health card within 90 days of the appointment).
Zero Tolerance
Our office aims to offer a safe and welcoming environment for all patients.
Any rude, abusive, or inappropriate language or behaviour will NOT be tolerated. Result in use of such language or behaviour may result in termination of communication or termination of enrolment at the office.
Late Policy
Dr. Heitzner strives to be on time, and the only way to do this is to ensure patients arrive on time as well. Therefore our office does have a late policy that is strictly enforced.
If you arrive >10min after your scheduled appointment time, your appointment will need to be rescheduled.
We know that things come up, and so if you are running late for your appointment and anticipate being more than 10 minutes behind, please call the office to let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate on these occasions.
Fees
There are several things that are NOT covered by OHIP and thus fees will apply for those items:
Doctor's Note: $20
Referral Notes/Forms (ie: massage physio): $20
Forms (work/insurance): starting at $30
Disability Tax Credit Form: $150
MTO Physical: $100
Immunization letters/cards: $10
